Are you Thriving or just Surviving ?

You Ever Use Phrases like

“I don´t Feel Like Myself”

“Im In A Little Bit Of A Funk”

“I Just Need To—-_”

“If I Only Get This, Then Ill Be Fine”

We have all been there, and sometimes we spend way to long time in those survival mode because we don’t really know how to get out of it.

And most of the time you will find the difference between surviving and thriving is very subtle but is a very significant one.

How can 2 people, have COMPLETELY different experiences from eating salads and chicken day in and day out?

How can WE be doing the same things as we always do but feel like its a painful chore ?

Definition Of These:

To survive means to
“continue to live or exist, especially in spite of danger or hardship.”

To thrive means to “prosper, be fortunate or successful, to grow or develop vigorously; flourish.”

Why Is this Important:

These past 2 years, more than ever before, many of us are in pure survival mode. I mean let’s face it, this pandemic business has been filled with things that are outside our control wacking us out of our MOJO. And this type of circumstances CAN affect our sense of thriving massively, and make it way harder to get by IF we choose to let go of all control and just float with it.

Turns out according to science, the sense of thriving appears to come down to an individual experiencing a sense of development, of getting better at something, and succeeding at it or mastering. In the simplest of terms: THRIVING is all about feeling good about life and yourself and being/becoming good at something.

I personally love this definition, and I love how it offers opportunities, to make improvements and start to thrive. I bet there is something, in some area, movement, language, skill or fitness related that you would like to get better at. Something that is within your control to learn, start to master, that you CAN (and want to) start to working on to turn this around and start THRIVING.

How Can You Use It

This is exactly what I believe Small Habits, Fitness, Learning and Training is all about. I have come to realise that with in my field, where I help people start going to the gym or overcoming injuries. It’s all about something way more important than just the isolated movements, squats and push ups — and even more profound than the visual improvement aka. ability to run faster and further.

The GYM offers a solution that allows you to let go of simply SURVIVING and to start improving on a skill, taking on a task that helps you THRIVE. And feel more at ease with your habits, choices and eventually - when done long enough new lifestyle.

As mentioned, the research shows that the difference between you having a good day or a bad day, can be stripped down to the feeling of getting better/moving forward with ONE thing or aspect of your life. And if you are in a funk, dedicating yourself to ONE project that you can track progress on for example run project, learning HSPU or Italian can be that highlight of the day - and help you to stop feeling stagnered, and stuck in the funk.

If you need help to get yourself back to a THRIVING lifestyle, to take back control of your life and find your WIN of the day with a workout routine, overcoming injuries or learning a new skill - Check out my Zoom Strategy Sessions! We can strip it back to basics and get you moving.
